Questions and Answers

How do I get started?

Call for a consultation at 773-396-1594 or email us at info@huntereconomics.com. After clearing a conflict check, we will send an engagement agreement. We can usually start immediately upon receiving a countersigned copy. We’d love to work with you.

Can you meet my deadline?

Assuming we’re conflict-free, in many cases, we can meet tight deadlines. The first “rush” is on us; after that, we charge a rush fee.

What type of support can I expect from you?

After an initial consultation to determine our work together, we will:

  • Provide an information request tailored to the nature of your case.
  • Review case documents, conduct an initial analysis and determine if your case warrants a comprehensive report. If a comprehensive report isn’t needed, we’ll explain the rationale.
  • Conduct research, develop a full analysis of data and submit a comprehensive report, on deadline.
  • Hold a strategy session. In this session, we will review report findings, provide information about the opposing expert’s reports and history, and offer strategic advantages we’ve identified from the data analysis.
  • Act as the expert in depositions and trials.
  • Be available for ongoing discussion and feedback.

I’m busy. How much will I have to manage you?

A: Litigation often requires juggling a variety of experts and deadlines. Our job is to make life easier for you, with a minimum of oversight. Most important, rest assured that every analysis will be rigorous, professional, based on the data and delivered on time.

What do you need from me?

A: We provide an information request that will let you know what we need from you (and other experts) at the start of the case. These requests typically include:

  • A list of documents we typically find useful.
  • A calendar of case milestones, including due dates for reports, mediation and trial.
  • The identities of other experts whose opinions we might rely upon.
